Coaches are needed for Girls on the Run this fall!

Attention CES Parents/Guardians,

Coaches (male or female) are needed for Girls on the Run this fall! We also welcome junior coaches (high school age).

Are you looking for a meaningful way to make a difference in the lives of young girls? Consider becoming a Girls on the Run coach! No previous coaching experience is required—just a willingness to encourage, inspire, and have fun.

As a Girls on the Run coach, you'll help girls:

  • Build the confidence to be themselves and love who they are.
  • Shine in their own unique way (we call this activating their Star Power!).
  • Encourage others to embrace who they are.
  • Develop valuable life skills like understanding and managing emotions, handling peer pressure, and celebrating each other's differences.

Girls on the Run is more than a running program; it's an opportunity to empower girls with the confidence, character, and skills they need to thrive both on and off the course.

If you're interested in becoming a coach or would like to learn more, we'd love to hear from you. Your time and encouragement can make a lasting impact on the lives of our students!

Travel Baseball

HYA participates in the Lancaster County Youth Baseball League (LCYBL) for travel baseball. The fall season runs mid-August through late October. LCYBL uses the following age divisions based on birthdate:

  • 10U: Ages 9–10 — Birthdates from 5/1/2016 to 4/30/2019
  • 12U: Ages 11–12 — Birthdates from 5/1/2014 to 4/30/2016
  • 14U: Ages 13–14 — Birthdates from 5/1/2012 to 4/30/2014

Game Format: Doubleheaders on Saturday with two 5-inning games (3-hour total time limit).

Team Placement: The fall season includes two competition levels: Section 1 (highest level) and Section 2. Teams will be formed based on registration numbers, prior experience, and spring team placements. No evaluations will be held for fall travel baseball.

Have questions about your player’s level or placement? Reach out to Brian Biggs at HYAbaseball.BrianBiggs@gmail.com.

Intramural Baseball

The Fall 2026 Intramural Baseball season runs mid-August through late October. Divisions are based on age and skill level:

  • Ponies (Ages 5–7)
    • Birthdates: 5/1/2019 – 4/30/2022
    • Tee-ball format for first-year players learning the basics.
    • One practice during the week; games Saturday AM’s. (Fields located at Salunga Firehall and Centerville Middle School).
  • Minors (Ages 6–8)
    • Birthdates: 5/1/2018 – 4/30/2020
    • Coach-pitch level for beginner or second-year players.
    • Two practices per week with games Saturday AM’s / Saturday afternoons. (Field is Centerville Middle School).
  • Majors (Ages 7–10)
    • Birthdates: 5/1/2016 – 4/30/2019
    • For more experienced players. Those with a strong interest in baseball or prior Majors experience are encouraged to consider travel baseball as well.
    • Two practices per week  with games Saturday AM’s (Field is Centerville Middle School).

Special Note for 10U-Eligible Players: If your player is eligible for 10U, this fall is a great opportunity to play travel baseball. Fall travel baseball provides a lower-pressure, instructional environment designed to help players adjust to the pace, rules, and structure of travel baseball.

Financial Assistance

HYA is committed to making baseball accessible to all children in our community. If financial concerns are a barrier, please reach out and we will work with you.

Thank you all for a great spring season! We hope you have a fantastic summer and look forward to seeing you on the field this fall!
